focus adult social work (a North East Lincolnshire Social Enterprise Company) are committed to providing a platform for adult social care users and their representatives to enable them to exercise and embrace greater choice and independence when choosing services. The delivery of the fully functioning Service4me platform including the innovative new e-Marketplace is a key priority in its first 12 months. It is anticipated a substantial amount of the 11 million pound budget will eventually be captured within this platform and channelled through a new Marketplace on the Services4me website (www.services4.me.uk). The Marketplace will be using an innovative payment platform from Open Objects which enables citizens to manage their Personal Budgets in North East Lincolnshire.
Services4me (www.services4.me.uk) is the one stop portal providing information and advice on services for health, well-being and social care in North East Lincolnshire. The website has established itself with local web users and has also been rolled out to kiosks at local GP surgeries and other public access points.
The Marketplace is the next phase of rollout and will handle the flow of substantial personal budget activity and transactions being managed through the platform. The function allows citizens to log in securely to their Marketplace account and approve payments to any provider listed on the Services4Me directory. They will be able to manage their current balance, track payments, make cash transfers and top-up with personal funds as well as using their allocated budget. continue reading>>
