20 NEW iPad kiosks are currently being installed at community venues across North East Lincolnshire, including all the GP Practices / Medical Centres. They will provide access to over 900 Health and Social Care Services, including advice and information via our developing Services4Me online platform. This is following a pilot which was launch in 2012 at 4 locations across Grimsby and Immingham, we have found that a simple iPad style kiosks, is the best way forward following analysis of the feedback received.
The new modern access points will provide instant access for residents within North East Lincolnshire for services available within their area; the website (which is available on all devices, mobiles, tablets, laptops etc.) also includes an online self-assessment which links into focus as a statutory provider of social work. The main promotion of the iPad Kiosk is to raise awareness of Services4Me platform as the key online directory of Health & Social Care Services. Both the North East Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and North East Lincolnshire Council are in support of the Services4Me brand to promote Health and Social Care Services.
The 900 listed records within the online directory are managed and validated by a combination of hard w
ork by the focus Services4Me team and individual providers who can register and manage them independently, this is actively encouraged by the team for accuracy of the data.
Lyn Romeo, Chief Social Worker had a chance to try this out when she visited focus and she thought it was a brilliant idea.
The team will be demonstrating Services4Me iPad kiosks at the Care Plus Group Fun Day on Saturday 3rd May in People’s Park, come along and have a go on the new kiosks, we’re open to any and all feedback.
Don’t forget to look out for the Services4Me kiosk appearing in your GP surgery soon! Keep yourself update by visiting the website and following us on twitter. www.services4.me.uk @Services4Me1
Ros Davey, Head of Demand Management and Communities at focus said:
“We understand that people need advice and information in order to make decisions about their social care needs. The Services4Me site will help people to plan ahead and live independently. Please remember that you can also use Services4Me to tell us about ideas you have to develop the wellbeing of your community, or about a community service that is missing.”
