“Are you looking after someone who has a disability, illness or additional need? If so, you are a carer and would encourage you to come along to one of our events for specialist advice on your own health and wellbeing, information on benefits, carers support services and keeping warm this winter”
A campaign urging Carers in North East Lincolnshire to think about their own Health and Wellbeing is being launched.
There are over 15,000 carers in North East Lincolnshire with three in five people expecting to take on some kind of caring responsibility for a relative or a loved one at some point in their lives. As part of our campaign we are taking the outreach bus out to a number of local retail outlets in North East Lincolnshire to help us deliver the message about the needs of local carers and the avenues of support that are available to them.
A number of events are taking place across North East Lincolnshire, using community areas with a mobile bus situated in prominent locations where professionals from a number of local organisations will be on hand to offer advice and information on matters such as keeping healthy, emotional wellbeing, financial and benefits advice, carers support and children and adult services available.
The outreach events that are taking place aim to highlight the valuable contribution that unpaid carers make to our communities and in doing so promote awareness on the importance of maintaining their health and wellbeing. The project is a multi-agency initiative which involves partnerships between;

The bus events are taking place at the following locations, and you can find further locations in our ‘Where are we?’ section;
