What an incredible day we had at the Focus AGM 2026.
The event was fantastic opportunity for colleagues from across the organisation to come together, reflect on the past year, and celebrate the people who make Focus such a special place to work.
There was a real sense of pride and positivity throughout the day as we looked back on everything that has been accomplished over the last 12 months. From supporting our service users and communities to driving improvements across the organisation, the AGM showcased the dedication, passion, and professionalism that underpin everything we do.
A particular highlight was hearing from guest speaker Steve Head. His engaging and thought-provoking talk left colleagues with plenty to reflect on, from the “4-minute rule” to understanding our inner ‘chimp’ and the importance of showing kindness to ourselves and others. The conversations that followed demonstrated just how much the session resonated, providing valuable insights that can be applied both personally and professionally.
The day also offered an opportunity to recognise the contribution of teams and individuals across Focus. Every success and positive outcome for the people we support is the result of colleagues working together with a shared sense of purpose and commitment.
While the AGM celebrated the progress made so far, it also highlighted the importance of taking a moment to recognise our achievements. In a busy environment, it can be easy to move on to the next challenge without acknowledging the difference being made every day. The AGM provided a valuable reminder of the positive impact that #TeamFocus continues to have on people’s lives. As we look ahead, there is much to be proud of and every reason to be optimistic about the future. The passion, determination, and care demonstrated across the organisation continue to strengthen our services, support our communities, and improve lives.
